Objectives
To improve bus service change information whilst reducing production costs. Key aims were to increase the type size to 12pt from 4pt as little as in order to meet TfL’s goals for accessibility, whilst at the same time, reducing production costs by 20%.

Results
Complicated timetables and street maps are replaced with simple frequency charts and linear route diagrams.

Not only have print and artwork costs been reduced by approximately 50% (£225,500 per year)  but research shows that 65% find the new designs easier to use. The work won a 2004 DBA Design Effectiveness Award for best print solution.
